We are having a color run on April 2, 2026 at 5:00 pm. Proceeds will benefit Dahlonegah Running Club! Registration for adults or non-Dahlonegah students will be taken in the front office. Dahlonegah students may run for free! We will post registration forms next week and we will have them in the front office also.

📢 State Testing Begins April 13th – Grades 3rd–8th
Dahlonegah School will begin OSTP state testing on April 13th for students in 3rd through 8th grade.
Attendance is always important, but it is especially important in the days leading up to testing so teachers can review key skills and help students feel confident and prepared. During testing, we encourage students to be at school each day if possible. It can be difficult to schedule make-up tests, and students typically perform better when testing with their class.
Parents can help support their child by:
✅ Encouraging them to do their best
😴 Making sure they get a good night’s sleep
⏰ Arriving at school on time
🍎 Allowing time for breakfast if needed
👏 Showing support for students and teachers who have worked hard all year
Let’s work together to help our students feel confident and ready to shine! 🌟
Cheer Tryouts!

On Thursday, April 2nd, we will host our first annual Color Run and Fun Run. During this event, the Sheriff's Department will be on-site to help ensure runner safety. The route will start at the Dahlonegah track, head west to the T intersection next to the bus burn, then turn left and go south on the Greasy cut-through road, with a turnaround at the halfway point before returning to the finish line in front of the school. During this time, the Sheriff's Department will close the road in front of the school and up to the halfway point on the Greasy cut-through road. We appreciate the assistance from Sheriff Ritchie and his deputies.

5-8th grade students that have expressed interest will be attending JA Biztown in Tulsa. on Monday, April 6th, 2026.
Congratulations to the Dahlonegah's Students of the Month!

We look forward to an inspiring and engaging visit for our students!

The health clinic will be here on Thursday, (3/26/26,) of this week if your student needs immunizations, please bring them!
Parents,
Remember we need the run registration forms this week. Your child will get a free t-shirt for running and the entry fee is free for all Dahlonegah students! Parents will need to attend with their students due to no after school programming on April 2. This is a family engagement event and our workers will be working the run on that day! Thank you for your continued support.

Monitoring Conditions
The district monitors forecasts from the National Weather Service, local emergency management, and road crews to ensure the
safety of students and staff.
Tornado Warnings During School Hours
● If a tornado warning is issued, students and staff will take shelter in designated safe areas inside the school until the
warning expires.
● If students are on a bus at the school site, they will unload and shelter inside the building until the all clear is given.
● Parents are asked not to come to the school during an active warning, as this could put both you and your child at
greater risk.
● If parents are already at the school or in the parent pick up line when a warning is issued, you are welcome to come
inside and take shelter in a designated visitor area. Staff will not bring students out to the car line during an active
warning.
Notification of Families and Staff
● Updates will be shared through the district’s phone, email, and text alert system.
● Information will also be posted on the district website, school Facebook page, and parents will receive an automated
phone call from the school.
After-School Activities
● When school is canceled or dismissed early due to winter weather, severe storms, or potential flooding, all after-school
activities and events will be canceled as well (this includes Boys and Girls Club), unless otherwise announced.
