Monitoring Conditions
The district monitors forecasts from the National Weather Service, local emergency management, and road crews to ensure the
safety of students and staff.
Tornado Warnings During School Hours
● If a tornado warning is issued, students and staff will take shelter in designated safe areas inside the school until the
warning expires.
● If students are on a bus at the school site, they will unload and shelter inside the building until the all clear is given.
● Parents are asked not to come to the school during an active warning, as this could put both you and your child at
greater risk.
● If parents are already at the school or in the parent pick up line when a warning is issued, you are welcome to come
inside and take shelter in a designated visitor area. Staff will not bring students out to the car line during an active
warning.
Notification of Families and Staff
● Updates will be shared through the district’s phone, email, and text alert system.
● Information will also be posted on the district website, school Facebook page, and parents will receive an automated
phone call from the school.
After-School Activities
● When school is canceled or dismissed early due to winter weather, severe storms, or potential flooding, all after-school
activities and events will be canceled as well (this includes Boys and Girls Club), unless otherwise announced.

Mrs. Braden's first grade class showing off "Spot", the dog from our Amira reading program! We're so excited to have him at our school!!!

There will be no after school program also on Thursday, 3-12-26 to allow for our staff to attend professional development. Thank you!
In preparation for the forecasted severe weather today we will not have the after school program/boys and girls club today, We are sorry for any inconvenience but don't want it to be unsafe when our students are traveling.
Gifted and Talented students had so much fun learning about Will Rogers today!

The 3rd–7th grade Gifted & Talented students had the opportunity to experience the Will Rogers Memorial Museum in Claremore today, where they explored the life and legacy of Oklahoma’s favorite son, Will Rogers. Students toured the exhibits, learned about his career as a cowboy, humorist, and actor, and gained insight into the history and culture of early Oklahoma. The visit provided a meaningful, hands-on learning experience that brought history to life and encouraged students to connect classroom learning with real-world experiences.
