JA Biztown 2023 was a blast.

5th -8th grade students visited JA Biztown last week. Students learned about financial literacy in class, then practiced their skills in the mini business community of JA Biztown. They learned a lot and had so much fun practicing their work skills for a day. Each student was responsible for a role in their business for which they earned paychecks that they were allowed to spend at the other businesses on their lunch break. They always enjoy this trip to Biztown and we are thankful to The Cherokee Nation for funding it for us. It is one of our favorite trips!

P-EBT INFO for 2023

With our 5th-8th Spring Dance (April 13th) and Graduation (May9th) around the corner, I think this is perfect timing! Shout out to Miss Kelsey Berry for providing such an generous and thoughtful service. She found a way to give back to the community and I think this speaks volumes about her character. Don't wait too long to visit ladies! I imagine there will be lots of people taking advantage of this.

We are granting the Student Council's request and will be hosting a Spring Dance for our current 5th-8th students! Students are allowed one outside guest (must also be current 5th-8th grade student), and must rsvp. Parents are invited as well, (please no younger siblings). See flyer for more information!

Parents don't forget to register for your free tablet. If you need assistance registering for the device, please email Mrs. Holmes @ sholmes@dahlonegah.org and I will schedule to help you. We want all of our students to register so we will have them ready when we go virtual! The link is http://publicwireless.jotform.com/Kris/dahlonegah-public-schools
You may have to copy and paste it for it to work. Please email me and let me know when you get registered! Thank you! Mrs. Holmes

Dear Parents/Guardians,
Your child has been learning about financial literacy through curriculum and concepts provided by the Junior Achievement program (JA Biz Town). Classroom teachers have taught lessons on work readiness, entrepreneurship, and personal financial literacy. This week students will have the chance to practice some of those skills at JA Biztown, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. 5-8th grade students will travel to JA BIzotwn, on Thursday, March 23, 2023. We will leave after breakfast, and arrive back at school before buses depart at the end of the day. Students will be provided with a sack lunch and they will earn "money" from their jobs to spend in the shops at JA Biztown. No extra money is needed.

Native Ace is cancelled for tomorrow, Wednesday 22nd, as Mr. Alex is unable to attend. Our apologies for the inconvenience.

At the state Capitol for OSSBA Day.

Extended care has moved to a new room and we are unable to see you pull in. You will need to knock on the glass doors, (or ring door bell) and we will send your student out. Thank you!
