After assessing the bus routes, we will not be running the Salem route or Stand addition route this evening or in the morning. We will also not run any dirt roads this evening or in the morning that are still snow covered. We do apologize for the inconvenience this may cause. However, the safety of all students and drivers are our main priority.

Congratulations to our students that participated in Image Dress today at Peavine School! We are proud of you!!!

Due to the forecasted winter storm, Dahlonegah Public schools will be closed on January 9 and January 10, 2025.
The safety of our students and staff is always our highest priority. Given the uncertainty surrounding the timing and impact of the storm, including potential road hazards and varying bus route lengths and conditions, Dahlonegah is announcing these closures in advance to allow families ample time to make necessary arrangements.
These two days will be virtual.
Thank you for your understanding as Dahlonegah prioritizes the safety of students and staff. Stay safe and warm!

Due to the forecasted winter storm, we will not have the after school program on Thursday, Jan. 9th. We will be sending all students home at the end of the day. No further decisions have been made. Please log onto the school app or facebook page for future closings! The safety of our students and staff is our highest priority.

Osiyo, my name is Marie Kimble-Eubanks. I learned how to read and write Cherokee in 3rd grade at Greasy School. My teacher was my mother, Clara Mae Kimble. I was raised in a fluent speaking Cherokee home with Cherokee being my first language.
My inspiration comes from my mother, Clara Mae, who was one of many teachers at Greasy, who taught and spoke the Cherokee language.
With the efforts from wonderful ladies, like Nellie Mays, bilingual programs became more available to teachers.
My goal has always been to preserve our language and carry on my mother’s legacy.
I taught Cherokee at Rocky Mountain for 17 years, completed a 3 year program for Greasy as well as an additional 17 years for Immersion.
I am in my first year with Dahlonegah, doing what I am passionate about, teaching Cherokee language. My heart is here with the students of Dahlonegah, allowing me to carry on what I was taught.
- Wado.

We would like to recognize our wonderful cafeteria staff for their outstanding service and dedication to Dahlonegah school. Combined, these ladies bring 31 years of service and experience to our school. Early mornings and late evenings, they ensure our students and staff are taken care of.
L-R: Cherry Pritchett, Pat Duncan, Natasha Wolfe and Susie Workman.
